The theater company consists of professional actors, graduates of Moscow, St. Petersburg universities, and the Novosibirsk Theater School. The company is a member of UNIMA International Puppetry Association.
The actors had multiple tours in the United States, Japan, and Thailand, where they performed in English and Japanese.
Theater productions use different types of puppets: stage and rod puppets, marionettes, “living plan”, and mask puppets. Today the repertoire of Novosibirsk Puppet Theater has over 40 productions, including shows for small children (Repka, Teremok, The Bundle With Fairy Tales), for school students and adults (MUMU, The Wizard of Oz, The Crazy Day or The Marriage of Figaro).
In the theater museum you can have a look at the puppets from the repertoire of the past. A tour will take you on a journey through the house where fairy tales live. You will learn how the theater started, which puppets are the oldest in the collection, and how to operate them. You can even try your hand at puppeteering!
The tour lasts 40–50 minutes. We recommend visiting the theater and the museum in one go.
