Planetarium

It is a large space center with all the latest technology and equipment. It is the best of its kind in the whole eastern part of Russia. The Novosibirsk planetarium has unique telescopes allowing you to observe the starry sky. On the first floor there are technical rooms, and on the second floor — a “star hall” with two astronomic passageways and towers for up to 114 people. There’s a park adjacent to the main building arranged in the form of the planetary system. In this park, the visitors can feel like they are in the center of the universe. The planetarium also has a film and video studio. The spacious shooting pavilion has modern equipment with HD video capabilities. The planetarium’s modern instrumentation includes telescopes, binoculars, and the “Solar Observatory” room. There are star maps, atlases, catalogs of the coordinates of celestial objects, descriptions of the circumstances of eclipses, extensive literature on astronomy, and computer programs producing views of the starry sky from any given place on Earth at any time.
