Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

In the Soviet times, the cathedral was destroyed and ravaged. Its restoration was finished only in 1992. The cathedral’s building, shaped as a cross, also has the bell tower (27 m high) in its structure. Pokrovsky Alexander Nevsky diocesan nunnery has been located on the territory of the church since 1991. The church houses the icon of the Prince Alexander Nevsky with a part of his relics and other sacred objects.
