Monument to the Siberian Coin

Siberian coins were minted at the Suzun Mint in 1766–1781. Unlike the all-Russian coins, they had a picture of the Siberian coat of arms on the obverse. Ten kopecks, over a meter in diameter, are adorning the beautified Monetnaya Square. The monument was installed on October 17, 2013, basically at the same spot where the copper-smelting plant used to be. The monument is based on a monolith of the rock from which Suzun copper was smelted.
