Zavolokinskaya village is a small complex located in the village of Novy Sharap in Ordynsky District.
The territory of the museum is full of amazing structures made mainly of wood. For example, one of the gazebos, called “From the Woodstove,” has benches, an accordion on chicken legs, a big balalaika and a Russian stove painted in the design from a Soviet cartoon, hence, the name of the gazebo.
There is also a festival house, which opens its doors only during the main event.
Guests are treated to sweeping views from the observation deck located next to the Chapel of St. Gennady of Athos. The musician’s monument is also located here.
Since 2010 the village has served as the venue for Play, Accordion, Gennady Zavolokin International Festival. Its key objective is not to pass on folklore and traditions to young people, but to share the modern folk art.
The festival crowd also believes that a person’s talents are not limited to just one thing. That’s why Zavolokinskaya village gains new exciting objects and exhibit items after each festival.
