Five exhibition halls of the gallery are located in the famous 100-Flat Building, the landmarked site designed by Andrey Kryachkov and built in 1937. The building has been officially recognized as a world architectural masterpiece and one of the main symbols of the city of Novosibirsk.
Cozy and bright halls house an exhibition of paintings by Veniamin Chebanov, the People’s Artist of Russia.
The crown jewel of the entire exhibition is a diorama (2.7 x 10 m) featuring the battle of the Siberian volunteer division with the Nazi invaders on the Rzhevsko-Vyazemsky bridgehead. Veniamin Chebanov is the only battle painter in the Novosibirsk branch of the Union of Artists of Russia; he also served in the Army during the Great Patriotic War.
The gallery conducts themed excursions, lectures about artists, family weekends, meetings with re-enactors from military and historical clubs, round-table discussions and debates, patriotic quests, master classes, film screenings and other events. There is also an art studio for children and adults.
With the Guest Card, you can get a 30% discount on visiting the current exhibition (without a guide).
