Belovo Waterfall

The waterfall got its name from the nearby village of Belovo. There used to be a coal pit here, near the lake where the waterfall starts. Due to undermining by groundwater, it was decided to stop mining here and abandon the site. The pit got filled with water that turned it into a magnificent lake. The dam that was built later didn’t stop the water, as it found its own way out. That is how the waterfall was born.
