A jewel of Maslyanino village. The church was founded in 1883. According to legend, the icon of Nicholas the Wonderworker, who gave his name to the church, was presented by the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II, who stayed here on his way to India.
In the 1930s, the Suenga hydro power plant was built upstream of Suenga village. The Suenga River was redirected to a new course that formed a waterfall cascade of up to 1.5 meters high.
Yegoryevsky gold-mine was founded in 1830 at the gold deposit discovered by the exiled miner Popov in 1781.
In addition to the log cabin, you will see a stable for horses, a “black” banya (a traditional steam bath without a chimney), a barn, unique antiques, tools, and photographs.
A dredge bucket filled with golden bars dedicated to Yegoryevsky’s gold miners can be found in the center of Yegoryevskoye village.
